What we do

Research
& Music

We support the implementation and dissemination of research seeking to address the challenges of development in communities around the world, using music and art as a powerful vehicles for this purpose.

1

Youth development through the processes of Research

Each one of our projects focuses on different aspects of the development community, from education to environmental sustainability. We use music and art as tools for research, creating spaces where young people can express themselves, learn and collaborate.

Promotion of Cultural Diversity and the Construction of a Culture of Peace

We promote intercultural understanding, peaceful coexistence and the appreciation of diversity as a fundamental asset for human development. Through participatory methodologies, we provide spaces for dialogue and reflection that enable young people to explore and appreciate their own cultural identities, as well as understand and respect the cultural differences of others. These processes not only promote tolerance and mutual respect, but also to contribute to the construction of a culture of peace in the communities.

Reflection on the Biodiversity and Environmental Responsibility

Tackling climate change and preserving biodiversity are urgent challenges that require the active participation of the whole society. In our research, we engage young people in thinking about the importance of biodiversity, as well as in the identification of concrete actions to promote the conservation of the environment and the adoption of sustainable practices. In addition, we explore the re-use of objects as an innovative strategy to reduce the environmental impact and to promote a culture of responsible consumption.

It is important to note that all of our formative processes are based on participatory methodologies that value the contribution of each individual and promote comprehensive learning. Music and art play a central role in these processes, as they serve as powerful tools for creative expression, intercultural communication and the generation of spaces for collective reflection. In this way, not only to educate young people on issues relevant to sustainable development, but also foster their empowerment and their ability to generate positive changes in their communities and the world in general.

Training of Trainers - Innovation in Education through Art and Music

In our program of training of trainers, we are dedicated to share strategies, and educational methodologies using collaborative and disruptive, where music and art are essential tools for the communication of ideas and the creation of formative processes in diverse communities. This initiative seeks to foster the knowledge management among teachers and researchers at the global level, highlighting the positive impact of these methodologies in the total learning. Our approach seeks to strengthen the professional leading educational processes in their communities. Through partnerships with leading academic institutions, such as Queen's University in Northern Ireland, the University of Leeds in England and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, as well as with local institutions such as the Universidad EAFIT in Medellin, the Icesi University in Cali and the University Claretiana, we have shared experiences with teachers and researchers from Colombia, Scotland, and England. These collaborations have allowed the exchange of knowledge and the promotion of educational practices, innovative at the international level.

Dissemination of Research through the Music: Expanding Horizons

In our commitment to the democratization of knowledge, we conducted the processes of dissemination of research using the music as a powerful tool of communication. More than just conveying information, this strategy allows us to connect with different audiences so emotional and creative. Our main goal is to make the research accessible to anyone, regardless of their academic training, using clear and understandable language coming from this way to broad public beyond the academic community, to maximize the impact of the findings of the research in question.

Using music as a vehicle for dissemination, not only seek to inform, but also inspire and captivate people. We believe that this unique combination of academic rigor and artistic expression, they can open new doors to the understanding and appreciation of scientific knowledge. In summary, our initiative of dissemination of research through the music is a step towards the democratization of knowledge, allowing the ideas and discoveries academic transcend borders and reach a wider audience around the world. This process has allowed us to develop strategies for the dissemination of knowledge with topics such as: violence, based on gender, gentrification, peaceful coexistence, and the promotion of processes of cultural integration of migrant communities, in partnership with institutions such as the university of Queens in Northern Ireland, the University of Edinburgh in scotland and the EAFIT university in Colombia.
